      Hyaluronic Acid  
Creative PEGWorks provides high quality polysaccharide products including fluorescent dye-labeled derivatives and biotinylated derivatives of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), Chitosan, Heparin, Chondroitin Sulfate, Cellulose, Alginic acid, and Dextran.
Hyaluronic Acid is a natural polymer of disaccharides, which are composed of alternating D-glucuronic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. Chitosan is a linear polysaccharide composed of randomly distributed D-glucosamine and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine. Chondroitin sulfate is a sulfated glycosaminoglycan composed of a chain of alternating N-acetylgalactosamine and glucuronic acid. Heparin is a highly sulfated glycosaminoglycan. Alginic acid or Alginate is a linear anionic polysaccharide with homopolymeric blocks of (1-4)-linked β-D-mannuronate and its C-5 epimer α-L-guluronate residues. Cellulose is a polysaccharide consisting of a linear chain of several hundred to over ten thousand (1-4)-linked β-D-glucose units. Dextran is a complex, branched glucan (polysccharide made of many glucose molecules) composed of chains of varying lengths (from 3 to 2000 kilodaltons.
These naturally occurring biopolymers have important applications in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, drug delivery, medical implant, plastic surgery, and others.
